Organic whole yellow peas
Organic whole yellow peas are a legume worth rediscovering—nutritious, versatile, and deeply rooted in sustainable agriculture.
Grown at Ferme TournevenT, they are produced using thoughtful agricultural practices, including intercropping with organic canola. Thanks to their natural ability to fix nitrogen in the soil, yellow peas help enrich the soil and support neighbouring crops—making them both a nutritious food and a natural ally for soil fertility.
From a nutritional standpoint, whole yellow peas are an excellent source of plant-based protein and fibre, as well as essential minerals such as magnesium and iron. Low in fat and rich in nutrients, they contribute to a balanced diet while offering an appealing alternative to animal protein.
Valued for their versatility in the kitchen, yellow peas are often described as a “flavour sponge,” readily absorbing the aromas and seasonings of the ingredients they are cooked with.
At the crossroads of nutrition, agriculture, and environmental stewardship, whole yellow peas offer a simple and delicious way to eat well while farming differently.
